Discover the Parisian way of life…

Cross the esplanade in front of the station to take the Rue du Départ, walk up the Avenue du Maine. Pass in front of the Gaîté station and then turn left on rue Daguerre, famous for its shops and pedestrian area which begins near Avenue du General Leclerc. On this avenue, turn left towards Place Denfert-Rochereau, discover its famous lion and the entrance to the catacombs.
 

… And relax.

Continue on Avenue Denfert-Rochereau and then turn on to Rue Cassini to admire the Observatoire de Paris. Take the Avenue de l'Observatoire, cross the Boulevard du Montparnasse, pass in front of the Closerie des Lilas. Here you will find yourself in the Jardin des Grands Explorateurs. At the corner of Avenue de l'Observatoire and Rue Michelet, you can see the beautiful building of the Institute of Art and Archaeology.
 
Continue through the Jardin du Luxembourg in the direction of the lake, the bandstand and then the Palais du Luxembourg and finally its museum.
